New Great Plains Theatre New Show Is A Smash
Great Plains Theatre continues its 21st Season with Weekend Comedy by Sam Bobrick & Jeanne Bobrick, a hilarious romp about the generation gap. Two couples, one in their 20's and the other in their 50's, both accidentally rent the same Catskills cottage for the weekend. Hilarity ensues when they decide to overlook the inconvenience and share the space.
The production is directed by Kim Riley. Mark Warner will serve as Technical Director. William Snyder will provide the scenic design and Peggy Riley will design costumes. Lauren Smith will stage manage. The cast of Weekend Comedy will feature Samantha Disney, Sam Gillam, Paula Makar and Robert Briscoe Evans.
Please be aware that Great Plains Theatre has moved the last three productions of the 2015 season to a new location. We are no longer at Abilene High School, but have transitioned to our new temporary facility at 401 Cottage Avenue, Abilene, in the ThunderStruck building (The site of the old Alco offices). Look for our sign and the theatre entryway on the north side of the building. Parking will be south of the theatre in the parking lot.
Seating at our new facility is limited to 130 seats, so be sure to call ahead and reserve your tickets ahead of time. Those who have already reserved tickets for seating at the high school will be contacted to have their seats adjusted for the new space.
