AHS Brings Awareness to the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Abilene High School students are promoting breast cancer awareness and joining the local fight against the disease by accepting donations at two events in October.
The AHS Volleyball Team will have ‘Dig For A Cure’ pink night on October 6 at 5:15 p.m. when they host Chapman in the high school gym.
The AHS Football Team’s pink night will be October 9 when they ‘Tackle 1 For A Cure’ against Clay Center. The varsity game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. in the stadium.
Students encourage the public to come out to the events, wear pink, and help support the teams’ local fight against breast cancer. All donations will be given to Impact the Cure, a local initiative that provides free mammography services for uninsured living in Dickinson County.
