VILLAGE MANOR DIRECTOR ELECTED TO STATE BOARD

Amy Hoch Altwegg, Village Manor Executive Director has been elected to serve a three year term on the Board of Directors of LeadingAge Kansas, a not-for-profit organization that advocates for the needs of aging Kansans. 
Amy Hoch Altwegg, Village Manor Executive Director, has been elected to serve on the LeadingAge Kansas Board of Directors.
As a member of the board, Altwegg will meet quarterly to help advance policies and promote practices and learning opportunities that empower seniors to live fully as they age.  LeadingAge Kansas works to support seniors in the areas of Advocacy, Education and Leadership Development, Information Sharing, Member Diversification, Financial Stewardship, Quality Improvement, and Communications/Public Relations.

Altwegg has served as the Executive Director of Village Manor since 2002.  She is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in industry and labor relations and a second major in gerontology with an emphasis in long-term care.  Altwegg has 23 years of senior care administrative experience. 

LeadingAge Kansas is composed of nearly 160 not-for-profit providers of services to over 25,000 seniors in Kansas.  Eighty-six percent of LeadingAge Kansas members provide nursing home care.  Leading Age Kansas is a partner of the national association, LeadingAge.
