MH BIRTHING CENTER RECEIVES ITEMS FROM JUNIOR LEAGUE
The Memorial Hospital Birthing Center received a donation of shirts, sleepers, onesies, blankets, pacifiers, booties and socks, and more from the current and associate (former) members of the Junior League of Abilene.
Junior League of Abilene has been donating items to the hospital for newborn families in need since 2002. Most members and associate members donate the items for the basket during their annual Christmas party. The group started this project when they were looking for a way to directly help out a newborn and the family.
The Junior League of Abilene was started on September 29, 1928 as the “Read More Club.” The organization has supported Memorial Hospital’s birthing center in various ways for over 50 years.
