Impact Sports and Fitness Weight Loss Challenge
Get ready for the new year and healthier you with the Impact Sports and Fitness Weight Loss Challenge. The eight week weight loss challenge will begin January 19 and end March 13. Sign up deadline is January 9. The participant with the greatest percentage of weight loss during those eight weeks will receive a grand prize of $500, the second place winner will receive $250, and the third place winner will receive $100.The weight loss challenge will consist of a weekly weigh-in, prizes and incentives, and a weekly group training session with a personal trainer. The 61 participants in the last challenge lost a total of 402 pounds.
Cost to participate in the contest is $80 for eight weeks; payment is due at the time of registration. Participants do not have to be a member of Impact Sports & Fitness to participate. Participants will have access to the facility for the weekly group session with a personal trainer; however, to gain unlimited access to the facility, participants can choose to become a member or purchase a day pass for one-time use.
Anita Larson, Head Personal Trainer at Impact Sports and Fitness, said that personal fitness can be tough; and she knows that.
“You don’t have to do it alone; we can help, plus provide some incentive,” Larson said. “We can help participants reach their goal, it doesn’t matter what their age is or fitness level is. We want to encourage people to get up and get active.”
