New Release: New Chief Nursing Officer

MEMORIAL ANNOUNCES CHIEF NURSING OFFICER


Brenda Moffitt, Advanced Practice Provider, joins Memorial Health System in Abilene as the Chief Nursing Officer.  

Memorial Health System in Abilene is pleased to announce that Brenda L. Moffitt, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Board Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist, is joining the health system as the Chief Nursing Officer effective November 10.

Moffitt comes to Memorial Health System from Stormont-Vail Health Care in Topeka where she was working as the Director of Education and Organizational Development.  Moffitt received both her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Wichita State University.

Moffitt has served as the Kansas State Board of Nursing President for the last three years.  She has been a member of the board since 2004 and has served on various committees. 

Moffitt currently volunteers as a Kansas Education Advocate. She has also served as a volunteer at the Stormont Vail HealthCare Birthplace where she worked with families and newborns.
