Junior League Donates to Memorial Health Foundation Safe Sleep Fund

Junior League Donates to Memorial Health Foundation Safe Sleep Fund

The Memorial Health Foundation received a monetary donation for its Safe Sleep Fund from the Junior League of Abilene.  Shown from left:  Cheryl Miller, Junior League Hospital Committee Chairperson; Heather Adams, Junior League President; Jennifer Elliott, Memorial Health Foundation Director; and Jamie Stroda, Junior League Treasurer.

Memorial Health Foundation is committed to making babies in our community as safe as possible in their sleep environment.  With that goal, Memorial Health Foundation has established a Safe Sleep Fund to provide Pack-n-Play portable cribs to qualifying families that deliver at Memorial Hospital Birthing Center and is accepting donations for this project. Junior League of Abilene made a donation to the Pack-n-Play project as part of its mission to assist Dickinson County families in need.

Junior League funds its outreach projects by holding fundraisers.  Its next fundraiser is the annual Chicken Salad Luncheon on April 5.  Dine-in or carry-out tickets must be
pre-purchased and will go on sale February 29.  The luncheon will be held at St. Andrew’s Parish Hall.  To purchase a ticket, call Sabrina at 263-1423
