News Alert: Child Hit In Abilene

Abilene Kansas: Around 3:34 pm Tuesday October 3rd near the corner of 6th and Buckeye, a young girl, estimated to be about 5 - 6 years old, was hit crossing the street.

Monica from West Stop Gas Station was outside of the shop taking a break, when she heard a loud noise.  She looked up and saw a Large SUV Jeep stopping and the driver getting out. Monica explained that she saw the girl and her (book) bag on the ground.  Buckeye has been blocked off from 9th to 7th.  The girl was taken to Memorial Hospital.

The girls passed away soon after.
