Dickinson County Photography Competition

Arts Council’s of Dickinson County 2014 Photography Competition and Exhibit

The Arts Council of Dickinson County is seeking entries for its Annual Photography Competition and Exhibit which is open to any amateur photographer in Dickinson County. “Helping Hands” is this year’s theme. Photos may be black and white or color and must be 8” x 10” in size after trimming. All entries for the competition must be mounted on white mount board available for $1.00 per piece from the Dickinson County Extension Office, 713 S. Buckeye. A maximum of three entries per person may be submitted.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:  Youth 9under 12), Intermediate (12 – 18), Adult (over 18), Best in Show, and Judge’s Choice. Photographs must be dropped off from 3 – 6 p..m on Friday, February 27 or Friday, March 6 at the Arts Council office, 203 N. Cedar, Abilene. Photographs will be exhibited at the Eisenhower Presidential Library, 200 SE 4^th, from March 20 through April 3, 2015.  An opening reception with judge’s comments will be held Friday, March 20, from 5 - 7pm.  This reception is free and open to the public.

The Photography Competition and Exhibit is presented in partnership with the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in joint mission to promote the arts in Dickinson County.

The Arts Council of Dickinson County is a non-profit organization supported by its members and dedicated to promoting the arts among the families in Dickinson County.
