EASY MEALS WORKSHOP
Are you short on time for planning and preparing meals? Are you annoyed by the question, ‘what’s for dinner’? If so, a freezer meals workshop sponsored by the Memorial Health System Volunteer Corps may be the answer.Participants in each session of the ‘Easy Meals Ready To Go’ workshop will assemble four meals-in-a-bag ready for the freezer. The meals presented will be Chicken Fajitas, Super Food Rotini, Turkey Chili, and Spinach Stuffed Shells with Meat Sauce. Each meal will serve 4.
The class will be taught by Beth Helmerichs, RD, LD, Memorial Health System Dietitian. She states, “The recipes we’ll be making are healthy, economical, easy, and nutritious. We want the participants to experience that even when they are pressed for time, they can eat healthy.”
The workshop will be presented twice. The first class will be held on March 5, and the second on March 10. Both sessions will be from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Nichols Education Center, 1003 N. Brady. Each session is limited to twelve participants. The fee for the class is $20 to cover the cost of ingredients.

Memorial Health System is promoting healthy eating during March which is National Nutrition Month. The theme for the education awareness campaign is ‘Bite Into A Healthy Lifestyle’.
