Volunteers Needed for Chisholm Trail 150 Celebration

Volunteers Needed for Chisholm Trail 150 Celebration

Volunteer with the Chisholm Trail 150 Celebration and be a part of history! The Trails, Rails, & Tales event will offer a variety of opportunities for volunteer participation from ticket takers and parking attendants to buckaroo camp helpers and laser tag attendants and everything in between. Volunteers will be needed Wednesday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 5.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to get involved and be a part of history in the making," said Michael Hook, Event Coordinator. "We have numerous types of volunteer tasks to fit your interests and abilities." Contact Michael at events@abilenecityhall.com or call the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau at 785.263.2231 for additional details. Event details and updates will be posted on the website at abilenekansas.org.

Trails, Rails, & Tales is the event set for Labor Day 2016 kicking off a year full of festivities marking the Chisholm Trail Sesquicentennial. Visit www.chisholmtrail150.org for details on the tri-state collaborative effort in commemorating 150 years of cowboy.
