Weeine Dog Race - 2015 Flour Power

The Weenie Dog Race at Flour Power 2015 drew participants from near and far. The top three winners are shown proudly displaying their medals. Shown (from left) are 3^rd place winner Lila with her owners Gretchen and Rodrigo Pedrozo from Manhattan, 2^nd place Thurman with owners Devri and Karl Malm from Lindsborg, and 1^st place winner Baxter with owners Jason & Mandy Smith from Lindsborg. Competition was stiff, but there could only be one top dog.

FLOUR POWER BBQ GRILL-OFF WINNERS


The Flour Power 2015 barbeque grill-off had 32 teams competing for the Grand Championship cash prize of $2,000. The winning team was the Naughty Nurses from Winfield. Kristi and Greg Powers, the two-member team, had a winning day when they earned a perfect score in the Ribs category, and placed 1^st in Ribs, 5^th in Chicken, 7^th in Pork, and 1^st in Desserts.

2015 FLOUR POWER MOTOR MANIA CAR SHOW BEST OF SHOW

Larry Fagan of Salina is shown with his customized Ford F-100 truck which took home Best of Show honors at the 2015 Flour Power Motor Mania Car Show in Abilene. The threat of severe storms kept the number of entries down from previous years but the show still included 64 registered entries of many makes and models of cars and trucks. Awards were given out to the “Top 20” and “Best of” in nine categories.
