Last Two GPT Performances of White Christmas

Based on the 1954 movie starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen, Irving Berlin's White Christmas tells the story of two WWII showbiz buddies putting on a show in a picturesque Vermont inn - and finding their perfect mates in the deal.

Adapted for the stage, this holiday show is filled with romance, large scale dance numbers, laughter, and unforgettable Irving Berlin songs including "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep," "Happy Holiday," "Sisters," "Blue Skies," and the title song, of course.  This production promises to fill you and your family with holiday cheer!

Michael Misko, Brooke Hills, William Hoshida, Sarah Misko, Larry Divel, Lisa Divel, Elizabeth Collins, Clayton Avery, Melissa Ford, Adam Glickman, Brenna Downs, Brendon Dalton, Megan Gill, Darrell Johnston, and Kimberly Braun.

LIVE LITERATURE
The Cat in the Hat
Adapted by Katie Mitchell for the National Theatre of Great Britain

Based on the popular Dr. Seuss book, the mischievous title character appears to create chaos and fun for all ages.  The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum partners with GPT to present this performance at the Library auditorium.  Often the first exposure area youth have to a live theatre production, we are pleased to present this show shortly after Read Across America, which celebrated the Birthday of Dr. Seuss.

MAINSTAGE:

Six shows will be presented from June through December, in partnership with Abilene High School.  The AHS auditorium will be the location for all six 2015 productions.

Single ticket prices will be lowered to $21 in honor of our 21st season.  Student tickets will be $10.

Season ticket packages are presently available and more affordable than ever.  For a three show Flex package, the cost is $50.  For a Full six show season ticket package, the price is only $100.

June 12 - 21

In this classic 1950s musical, middle-aged baseball fan Joe Boyd makes a deal with the devil - here called Mr. Applegate - to trade his soul in exchange for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory and win the pennant against the New York Yankees. Featuring the songs "(You Gotta Have) Heart," "Whatever Lola Wants Lola Gets," and "Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, MO."


The Dixie Swim Club

In this hilarious and touching comedy, five southern women, who have been friends since their college swim team, get together yearly over the course of thirty years at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks. Free from their husbands, children and jobs, they bond over the obstacles life throws at them and continue to prove that teamwork reigns.

August 7 - 16

The musical material of an American legend are presented in this rousing show featuring songs by Johnny Cash. Known for his storytelling style, this production presents many of the Man in Black's hits including "Daddy Sang Bass," "Five Feet High and Rising," "Folsom Prison Blues" and, of course,
the title song.

We will be announcing the second set of three Fall/Winter shows this coming Spring once rights
are secured for the productions.
