SOLOMON HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL SUPPORTS LOCAL BREAST CANCER INITIATIVE

The Solomon High School Volleyball Team members and Coaches Present a Donation to Impact the Cure

The Solomon High School Volleyball team members and coaches present a donation to Impact the Cure which provides free mammography services for uninsured in Dickinson County.

The Solomon High School Volleyball team members wanted to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer, and they wanted to make that difference locally.  They chose to support Impact the Cure, an event organized by Impact Sports and Fitness in Abilene that raises funds to provide free mammography services for uninsured in Dickinson County.  The team held a Pink Out night and collected donations for the cause.

When accepting the donation, RaeLyn Swisher, Impact the Cure organizer and Impact Sports and Fitness Manager, thanked the team and told them that their support does make a difference.  “Since we began raising funds for free mammography services for uninsured in October 2012, we have helped 57 women in this county.  Your support does make a difference to those around you.”

Morgan Clark, a senior setter on the team, presented the check along with her team mates, Coach Alex Paterson, and Assistant Coach Laressa Nordgren.
